I,Monica age 12, just watched a movie called Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. This movie is based on the book by Ann Brashares. This movie follows the book very well. One girl's story,Lena's story, is just simplified to make the movie easier to comprehend. The movie often quotes the book exactly in certain scenes. I would reccomend this movie, and the book, to anyone who finds intrest in other people and their opinions.

I am a homeschooled girl who loves reading, and I find that reading the classics is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon when it is too hot to do anything but sit next to the air conditioner and you can't go to the beach. The classics are sometimes more engaging than the modern books that are written for teens. You can read the older classics, such as Victor Hugo's original "Hunchback of Notre Dame", which is rather lengthy and descriptive, or you can read something a little more modern, such as J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings". I think this book is one of my all time favorites. Tolkien has a way of making you feel what ever his character is feeling. The books are easy to get into if start with "The Hobbit", which is not part of the trilogy, but a prequel.
The movies are pretty good too, but are not as good as the books.

Samantha, I like the classics, too. One of my favorite books is "Ivanhoe" by Sir Walter Scott.
