Twenty-six teens assembled at the library Thursday night, July 26, to solve a murder mystery. Gathering evidence at four different locations, the case was cracked by three detectives. Nathan was one of the three; however, at the party we failed to recognize his expert sleuthing--sorry! Nathan knows to come and get his prize. Congratulations to all the participants for their hard work and helping us devour pizza and pop at the conclusion of the party. We had a lot of fun and hope to see you next time.

Viewing Teen Posts
Hey Everybody! We are starting to see some comments from teens. That is great--keep them coming. Feel free to reply on the top posting even if it's not related to what you are commenting about. That way, people can readily view your comments without having to scroll through the blog. Thanks!

Pizza and Mystery
Hey Teens! You are invited to have pizza and solve a mystery at the library Thursday, July 26th, at 5:00. Our Summer Reading Theme is mysteries and it will be a mystery to us at the library if we don't know who's coming so please stop by the library and sign up for the mystery party! Space is limited to the first 25 teens that sign-up in the Youth Department downstairs (ages 11-18)
Pick up your reading log if you haven't already done so. All teens coming to the party will need to be participating in the Summer Reading Program. That means you need to be reading and making note of your time on your log (just a quick check--it's really fast). Check out the websites listed in this blog. They count toward your summer reading, too. And, by the way, please add to your blog. This blog is for the teens and we need your input! Share with all of us what you're reading. Have you visited the web sites or do you have any reading sites you would like to share?

So What's the Deal With This Blog?
Okay, teens. Maybe you're wondering what's going on. Well, the summer reading program starts soon and the library thought a blog would be one way for you to be a part of the fun. We do hope you will come June 18th for the kick-off, but if you can't make it we still want you to participate. One way to do that is to submit a post on this blog. We would love to read your comments about the books you are reading and think other teens will feel the same way. Our summer reading theme is mysteries, and we have some great mystery websites for you to visit. Visiting these links and solving the mysteries will count toward your summer reading goal since, after all, you're still reading!
